Please note that the things are this site is not canon. Drewy has affectionately named it Earth-6, and therefore that has kind of stuck. This is an alternate universe in which we can twist and change the Batman characters to our liking, now that doesn't mean they're out of character, but they can be a combination of the comic books, graphic novels, and our own imaginations. Along with the characters not quite being the same, neither is the time line, we're characters from all over the place during the comic 'verse, but we love it. This is our own little fucked up Bat Universe, we are Earth-6, I hope you enjoy it here. :3
March.
Batman had captured the Joker, even Barbara had known something was wrong. In the battle it had been far too easy to take him down, he wasn’t trying. Harley was nowhere to be found and normally she loved to punch the living day-lights out of Dick and herself. But she wasn’t anywhere to be found, and the two of them always escaped together.
He had refused to let her or Dick to come along to Arkham. Her father was waiting for him at Arkham, and it was an easy drop and deliver type of job. However he had left them at ten and it was now four in the morning. He wasn’t responding to her on the comlink, and to be honest that was the night she didn’t sleep, nor did she even get out of her Batgirl costume. Dick kept telling her to be calm, keep her head clear, but she couldn’t.
The news was more informative than Bruce was, than her own father was. There had been an Arkham break out along with a Blackgate break out, the Joker had trapped Batman in Arkham Asylum and the streets were chaotic. Of course, that meant that she and Dick had to get away from the television and keep the streets under control. They tried their best, they tried to keep the civilians safe and get the thugs back to where they belonged.
While they tried their best, their best wasn’t enough.
December.
Those that escaped from Arkham and Blackgate did what they could to get rid of those in GCPD. Whether it was through black mail, murder, or bribing, they got rid of anyone that could help Batman. Minus those that were friends with the Dark Knight, like Commissioner Gordon, who had been around long enough to know when he was in danger. Not to mention with Batgirl as his daughter, the Commissioner had more protection than most.
It was simple things at first: like blowing up hospitals, drive-by shootings, murdering civilians. That caused riots in the street; people were hoping and wishing for Batman and his allies to come to Gotham and save them. Another Arkham break out, this time between those from Blackgate and Arkham, they couldn’t help the city, at least not any more than they were.
Bruce couldn’t stand it. He was pushing himself and those around him to do their hardest, their best, and he wouldn’t let them get away with any less. Gotham was his city, his city and he wouldn’t let it crumble.
No, he wouldn’t let it crumble.
